Manages Gandi-hosted domains through the Gandi LiveDNS API. Covers DNS record creation, updates, and deletion across all common record types, email forwarding configuration, domain availability checks with name variation suggestions, SSL certificate monitoring, and DNS zone snapshots for rollback. Read-only and write operations are separated, with automatic snapshot creation before destructive bulk changes.
Bulk DNS changes include automatic zone snapshots and confirmation prompts, reducing the risk of unrecoverable misconfigurations that would occur when calling the Gandi API directly.
When to Use It
- Pointing a domain to a new server IP after a hosting migration
- Checking domain name availability and finding alternatives before registering
- Setting up catch-all email forwarding when launching a new domain
- Snapshotting DNS before a bulk record replacement so changes can be rolled back
- Auditing SSL certificate status across all domains in an account
