Looks up U.S. sales tax rates via the ZipTax API. Supports address, ZIP code, and lat/lng queries across 12,000+ jurisdictions. Returns total rates plus state, county, city, and district breakdowns, along with freight and service taxability flags.
Address-level lookups return a single exact rate rather than the multiple conflicting rates a ZIP code alone can produce.
